Gimp vs Fireworks CS3

I’ve been using Fireworks 4 for ages. Make that forever.
Fireworks used to be Macromedia stuff. The good days.

These days Fireworks is property of Adobe, and this is a personal opinion, I’m not to fond of it anymore.

I tried the 30 day free trial version, after a lot of issues, and end up deleting if from my system. So off I went on a voyage to replace my image handling software.

And the signs pointed me towards Gimp.
“GIMP is the GNU Image Manipulation Program. It is a freely distributed piece of software for such tasks as photo retouching, image composition and image authoring.”

I’ve only been trying it out for two days, so I can’t really say much about it. I hope it can deliver.

    Stefson.com has grown out of my previous site www.mmopiglet.com (which no longer exists), that was mainly about my time in mmo games. Ever since I stopped playing mmo’s, due to personal reasons (read: time), I missed blogging so much, that the decision to start over from scratch on a new domain was easily made. So here we are.
