Semi-coherent ramblings of an internet junkie about business, life & gaming.

pro blogging utopia

To know what pro-bloggers are, we first need to differentiate. To me, there are three kinds of bloggers.

1. Occasional blogger
Is not that interested in the blogging phenomenom. Heared all the buzz surrounding it and wants to give it a try. Usually talks about personal issues.

2. Passionate blogger
Is a hardcore blogger who knows what he’s/she’s talking about. Loves doing it. Is great at networking and part of various communities.

3. Pro blogger
Are people that monetized their blog in some way. Makes a decent to good living of it.

Now if you ask most people what kind of bloggers they are, they’ll always tell you either option one or two.
However, if you ask them what kind of bloggers they would like to be, then option three sounds a lot more attractive. And offcourse it would be, who wouldn’t like to earn money like this? Getting paid to write about things you love writing about.

Use Google and search for Pro Blogging and other related keywords. You’ll get loads of results with tips and promises to help you become one and earn money the easy way. As if…

As for me, I’m slowly moving over from occasional blogging to becoming a passionate blogger. One of the most important things I learned about blogging is that you need to have an interest in what you write about. It doesn’t matter if you either write about your favorite dog or the latest news in the technology industry.
It’s the passion that counts.
So I think I’ll stick to being a passionate blogger… (for now :))

What about you? Are you passionate or thinking about monetizing your blog?

  • Featured content

On occasion I try and do some special stuff. For instance I do usability tests on websites. Or you can take a look at some of the famous interviews I've done.

  • Stefson in a nutshell (long)

Stefson.com has grown out of my previous site www.mmopiglet.com (which no longer exists), that was mainly about my time in mmo games. Ever since I stopped playing mmo’s, due to personal reasons (read: time), I missed blogging so much, that the decision to start over from scratch on a new domain was easily made. So here we are.

I blog mostly about web2.0, technology, book reviews, Wordpress themes and plugins, tools for web savvys, usability, websites, gaming.

  • Text Area #3

This is an area on your website where you can add text. This will serve as an informative location on your website, where you can talk about your site.
