Book review: Google advertising tools
I’m playing a lot with my Google Adsense account the last few days, and a friend recommend the book Google Advertising Tools from Davis Harold. So here is my opinion about it.

It is composed into four major chapters. I found chapter two and three to be the most important because they are about Adsense and Adwords itself. It can be a tremendous help if you are new to the Google advertising model, the entire interface can be rugged at times, and it’s usefull to have a book that highlights the important functions.
The other two chapters talk about Search Engine Optimization & online advertising in general and about the Google API’s. The author doens’t break new ground here, but he does a good job telling you about the current options when it comes to advertising. A good example is when he talks about the Amazon affiliate program. Doesn’t have anything to do with Google, but he gives you alternatives like the Amazon one, which is nice.
Don’t make no mistake though, the book is a novice title. Except maybe chapter four, when the Google API’s get talked about, which required some decent background.
If you’re new to Google Adsense and Adwords, then I definately recommend this title. It provides decent information to get you started with different online advertising models. If you’re a pro, then skip it.
