Ltd. corporate formation
For a while now I’ve been contemplating wich corporate formation to choose for starting the project me and my brother are working on for some time now.
Here in Belgium, you don’t have that many choises for starting a small company. You have the BVBA (limited liability partnership) or VOF (partnership), and the éénmanszaak (sole trader).
All these formations have their advantages and disadvantages, but this afternoon I was reading BIZZ magazine, and I came across the LTD. formation for Belgium. This form is regulated ever since 2003 here. It’s not that well know, so I decided to look some stuff up about it.
It has similar benefits like the BVBA (limited liability partnership), but there is no requirement for a starting capital, unlike the BVBA that need a capital of 18600 €.
I don’t know. Being dependant on UK law and all that. That’s right, the limited corporate formation is a UK thing. So your principal seat of undertaking has to be based there. Meaning any differences fall under UK law.
There are many businesses out their that can help you with starting a limited, take Emzet for example.
So many things to think about…
