How to work for an idiot

I’m a terrible reader. Yes I know, weird sentence. What I mean is this: I have a hard time sticking to one book. My attention is always diverted to other titles so I’m basically reading 4 to 5 books at the same time. Tiresome indeed.

But the book ‘How to work for an idiot…’ is now on the finished shelf. First and foremost, it’s a fun book to read. The title alone is worth reading it. You get a grasp on the different kinds of bosses that excist and how to handle them. But after a while, it’s always the same message you get from the author, adapt and schmootz, and then schmootz some more.
The basic lesson you should get after reading this book is simple, be a rat and be a master in office politics, cause you can’t change people anyway.

Some funny quotes for the ones interested:

Idiocy is sometimes defined as a permanent state of stupidity.

Idiots lack imagination. That deficiency, coupled with the tunnel vision Idiot Bosses are famous for, means the ship will be submerged before they realise it hit an iceberg.

There is no more powerful way to impress a boss than to be a supporter. There is nothing more miserable to a boss than a detractor.

We have no control over stupidity in others. We didn’t cause it, we can’t cure it, and we can’t control it. The only stupidity we can deal with is our own.

These are just some random quotes I underlined in the beginning. There are many more throughout the rest of the book. Do I recommend this title? Sure thing, but don’t expect any drastic changes in your life because of it.
