Glory and sunshine in Stefsonland.
Last Friday, my new desktop arrived by courier.
I ordered the PC with Tones.be, a Belgian webshop.
For those who’ve been reading my blog for a while, you’ll remember I thought about purchasing a Mac. Well, after a lot of thinking and comparing, I’ve decided to stick to Windows. And more importantly, Windows Vista.
The setup of my current rig:
- Intel Core 2 Duo 2.8 Gig
- MSI-P35 Platinum socket 775
- Corsair TwinX DDR2 4096MB PC6400 XMS2
- ASUS GeForce Nvidia 8800GTS 512 MB PCI Express
- Silverstone LC17 Black Case
- Samsung 2232BW 22 inch LCD
At first glance, the new Vista looks awesome. Especially on a 22″ screen. The new glassy interface really works well. It takes some getting used to, but that’s always the case wih something new.
So far, no really issues have come up with the switch to Vista (cross my fingers).
At lot of things have improved with Vista (they say), so in the new couple of weeks I’ll be finding out first hand. More to come on this when I’ve found my way a bit.
