Wordpress designs for the masses
Here are some wicked Wordpress themes I found in the last couple of days.
First up is 2813, a white/blue minimalistic modern theme with 3 columns. I really like this theme because everything is centered around the content using only typography. Many people will probably find it to simple for their taste, but then again, that makes it even more unique.
Second is a theme called Newsprint v2.0. This is special because it looks like a magazine or newssite.
You won’t find many themes like it. Sure it will need some heavy tweaking if you want to make it look more unique, but the foundation is there folks.
An interesting design I ran into yesterday is the site from Poplabs.com, an online marketing agency of some sort. One of their slogans is Refreshing Marketing, which is pretty clever actually. One of the first things that comes to mind is ‘Hey I’m on a site from Coca-Cola …’
I used 2813 for the first few months after starting to work with WordPress. I always loved that it was simple and clean. Check out the original 281 if you like the look but want two columns.

Thanks for the link. I prefer 3 column layouts for some reason :).
Newsprint is indeed very busy, but that’s usually the case with themes like this. I’m currently tweaking and remodelling it to make it less cluttered. I hope to get it out sometime this week.
