Blogs for sale
You have a blog, a great looking domainname, and in the last couple of months, you’re starting to get decent traffic, backlinks, pagerank … the whole nine yards.
So what’s the next step? You sell the blog right?
Apparantly so.
A blog that I read on occasion and is in my RSS reader is Blogohblog.com, and guess what? It has been sold the other day for a whooping 10.000 $. Yep, that’s right, 10k. For us euros out there, that’s 6823,14 €.
Now, whether or not the particular blog is worth that amount of money, I’m not going to post an opinion. Someone paid that amount for it, so it must have been. But ten thousand dollars, damn …
Another popular blog that changed owner in the last couple of months is Sitefever.com. If I’m not mistaken that sold for 1250 $. And Onemansgoal.com is also up for grabs at Sitepoint. It sold for 8.500 $.
I’d never sell Stefson.com.
I’ve grown quite fond of it in the last couple of months. But then again, I’m not really planning on some quick moneyscheme with it so I can take it easy.
Ok, back to reality for now.
An interesting article at Davidaireys blog about freelance designers and the lack of respect. I’m actually in the middle of getting some new businesscards, and this was a very entertaining read. Do check it out.
I think I’m going for Independent contractor or Independent expert. However, Web ninja also sounds pretty funky doesn’t it?
