Do you read John Chow’s blog?
If so, why?
I find myself asking this question over and over again.
Every now and then you can find an interesting topic about something, but mostly, it’s just paid reviewme topics and plain advertising.
Is the man pushing it a bit to far?
According to his RSS subscribers, I guess not. Sure, he’s running a big contest against Shoemoney to see who can get the most subscribers in what, a month? They both are bringing out the big guns and giving away a shitload of prices. That accounts for a lot of the buzz they are getting lately.
But still … he’s a wellknow blogger. So wellknow that his site got penalised by Google a while ago because of his agressive SEO techniques.
So here’s the question:
Do you actually ‘read’ everything posted there? Or do you just scan your RSS reader and mark all as read as you go?
I have visited the site several times. Usually only following links from other sites that I read often. I’ve never felt the need to subscribe or bookmark the site though…

That’s what I was wondering about. Why did I put this URL in my reader?
Then I remembered, it’s because of the content he’s holding against Shoemoney.
But other than that, little to no reason but scan the headlines every now and then. But on the other hand, then man is making nice money from his blog, so he must be doing something right no?
I am sure he is making good money.
